Jeevan Kumar Jethani is Senior Director/Scientist-F in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. He has been associated with power/renewable energy sector for over 32 years. During his professional career he was involved with power generation, transmission and distribution in the State of Rajasthan. In the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) he was a part of the core team for formulation and implementing National Solar Mission and also renewable policy and regulatory framework in the country. He was associated with the formulation of Green Energy Corridors project and its implementation framework. While working in Wind Division of MNRE he was instrumental to preparation of Repowering Policy, National Wind-Solar Hybrid Policy, Wind bidding scheme and its implementation guidelines, Onshore Wind Power Development Guidelines, etc. He has formulated PM-KUSUM Scheme Rooftop solar Ph-II Programme and its implementation framework, Off-grid solar PV Application Programme, Framework for promotion of DRE livelihood applications, etc. Presently he is responsible for PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, RE Policy and Regulations, promotion of renewable energy in NER and promotion of DRE applications in the country. He is also holding charge of Executive Director, Association of Renewable Energy Agencies of States.
