Ajit Thomas is a graduate of Mumbai University and an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai. With over 30 years of global experience in hospitality project management, he has successfully led as Head of Concept to Completion & Hanover for 20+ luxury greenfield and brownfield hotel projects across 15 countries, including brands like Hyatt, Four Seasons, Hilton, and Radisson. Ajit has always been deeply committed to environmental sustainability, consistently pursuing cost-effective solutions to conserve energy, reduce carbon footprint, and enhance long-term ecological efficiency across his projects.
He founded Beetles Consulting in 2019, offering end-to-end hospitality advisory and project oversight for high-end developments as an Owner’s Representative & currently manages as Project Controller multiple high-end Hotel projects spread across India.
Ajit is also a passionate environmentalist & co-founded Vrikshlife Agrifarms, WeGrowWood India www.wgw-agroforestry.com & Jaivik Farms www.jaivik-farms.com ventures focused on soil rejuvenation, sustainable agroforestry, and nutrition-driven organic foods. In partnership with WeGrow Germany, www.wegrow.de/en they manage large-scale Paulownia Phoenixt (Kiri Tree) plantations the world’s fastest-growing hardwood with highest carbon sequestration to provide timber outside traditional forests and combat climate change.-
He supports Enviro Creators Foundation (www.forestcreators.com) as the Green Advocate, promoting afforestation and native tree micro forest plantation projects for ecological balance & promoting biodiversity.

- 2023, Ajit was honoured with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vanashree Award from State Revenue Minister Shambhuraj Desai from Government of Maharashtra for his outstanding contributions to biodiversity and nature conservation.
