Architect Parag M. Warerkar has been in practice since 1984.
He graduated from the University of Mumbai and joined the practice of M.R. Warerkar & Associates Pvt. Ltd. In Delhi in November 1984. Parag has designed numerous industrial, retail, institutional and few hospitality projects starting with the phase 1 of Maruti Udyog Ltd and factories for Glaxo. He went on to design factories for Panasonic, Ericsson, Climate Systems (a Ford venture), retail stores for Raymond and Shoppers Stop.
In 1996 under his guidance, MRWAPL designed one of PepsiCo’s first company owned bottling plants in India. This plant was later declared as their model bottling plant. PepsiCo and their franchisees namely Varun Beverages have given repeat assignments to MRWAPL for their bottling plants all over India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. PepsiCo’s bottling plant designed by MRWAPL at Satharia, (U.P.) won the PepsiCo chairman’s award for 3 years running for being their most sustainable plant in the world.
MRWAPL has 4 Platinum Rated and 6 Gold Rated Green Building projects to their credit. Parag is an EDGE Expert.
