Professional Achievement
He is the visionary founder of multidisciplinary Design Studio, SALIENT in the year 2005, which is rated as the TOP 10 firms of the India for Sustainable Design. The Firm is among the few Indian firms reputed to have the capacity of sustainable design faculties including urban planning, urban design, architecture, interior design, landscape design, graphic and product design under one roof.
In his 25 years of professional practice, he has designed over 20 million sq. ft. of Residential Projects including but not restricted to Mass Housing, Affordable Housing, Urban Housing, High-rises, sustainable Mixed – uses, Mini townships and together commissioned over 100 projects in the last 2 decades. It includes Townships, Mixed use developments, Hotels and Convention Centres, Green Condominiums, Public parks and more. He has a credential of successfully completing over 40 Certified Green Buildings.
He has delivered:

- The Largest Affordable Housing Project in Kolkata (Godrej Properties) 2016-2024
- Eastern India first High Rise social Housing project using aluminium Formwork Construction (The Soul) 2020-2023
- The Eastern India’s first Biophyllic High Rise Building (Biowonder) that provides solution to compensate the Urban Green Cover Loss. It also won the Global City Scape Design award (2019)
- Delivered the Tallest Urban Residential Mixed-Use Projects in the states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sikkim and Bihar which aim high standards of Environmental Sensitivity and Energy Standards.
- The first Gold Rated Building of North-East India using Innovative construction Methodology for SMART CITY Projects (The West Point)
Awards and Recognitions
He is conferred and recognised with over 200 International and National design awards in the last two decades. The awards include Indian Institute of Architecture (IIA) Awards of Excellence, IIID (Indian Institute of Interior Design) excellence awards, Excellence awards by Indian Society of Landscape Architects (ISOLA), CNBC, CWAB, WAF – World Architecture Festival, Aces of Space Awards and many more prominent platforms and organization. He has also been awarded The Indian Green Building Award Fellowship Award 2024
Community Involvement
As a prolific researcher and thought leader, he actively participates in lectures and panel discussions at multiple forums bringing alive the deeper learnings from India Glorious Past, science and spirituality. All this with just one aim – Make India a Design leader In Sustainability! He has delivered over 120 public presentations and Keynote lectures in National and International Forums on Topics of Indian Design Value systems, Sustainable Practices and Technologies, Housing solutions for Future, Traditional Wisdom, Spirituality, Management and more. He has been invited to many regional and national institutes like NITs, IITs for guest lecture and Academic Exchange.
He is currently The Co-chairman of Indian Green Building Council (Eastern Region) spearheading many regional activities and spreading awareness among the professional, Government officials and Industry leaders on The Green India vision and Enriching Methods to achieve the Net Zero India Target of 2070.
He also steers a knowledge centre as a voluntary service to expose students, young professional, faculty and Developers to green design and educating people into future sustainable housing solutions.
